Gabion Box

Gabion came from the Italian word gabbione meaning “big cage”. It is a wire box filled with rocks or concrete, sometimes sand and soil for use in civil engineering, road building, landscaping, military applications, erosion control, flood control, dams, construction foundation, slope protection, caged riprap, etc. Gabion boxes protect riversides from damage caused by corrosion arising and also achieves natural convention exchange between waters and downslope soil mass for ecological balance. Upslope vegetation contributes to landscapes planting.

PVC coating can be applied when it is used to waters with high salinity.
